HEAD START SERVICES

Quality services are provided to Head Start children and their families in the following areas according to the Head Start Program Performance Standards and other regulations.

• Child Health, Development and Health Services
• Education and Early Childhood Development
• Child Safety
• Child Nutrition
• Child Mental Health
• Family and Community Partnerships
• Program Governance
• Physical and dental exams by physicians
• Mental health
• Special needs - work with school board to obtain services
• Meals consisting of breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack

Family/parental involvement – If assistance is needed after reviewing the needs of the family, the family is referred to proper agencies.  Parents are assisted in providing a stable home environment.
