IBERVILLE PARISH COUNCIL MINUTES
PUBLIC HEARING, TUESDAY, APRIL 18, 2006
PROPOSED ORDINANCES 

The Parish Council of Iberville Parish, State of Louisiana, held a Public Hearing in the Council Meeting Room, 58050 Meriam Street, Plaquemine, Louisiana, on the 18^th day of April, 2006, at 6:00 P.M. pursuant to a Notice of Public Hearing published on 4/13/06 in the Post South.

Council Chairman, Eugene P. Stevens, Jr. called the hearing to order.

The Chairman introduced the following ordinance:

ORDINANCE 1

ORDINANCE TO RENEW FRANCHISE - ENTERGY LOUISIANA, LLC (FORMERLY LA. POWER & LIGHT )

Mr. Edward Songy read the ordinance in entirety.

The floor was opened to comments and questions. Mr. Songy answered questions from Councilman Stevens.

The Chairman introduced the following ordinance:

ORDINANCE 2

ORDINANCE OF RENEW FRANCHISE - ENTERGY GULF STATES, INC.(FORMERLY GULF STATES UTILITIES)

The floor was opened to comments and questions. Mr. Songy and Mr. Cope of Entergy responded to questions and comments from Councilman Oubre.

The Chairman introduced the following ordinance:

ORDINANCE 3            

ORDINANCE TO AMEND 2006 OPERATING BUDGET TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR COOPERATIVE ENDEAVOR AGREEMENT FOR FIRE PROTECTION BETWEEN IBERVILLE PARISH COUNCIL AND CITY OF PLAQUEMINE

The floor was opened to comments and questions. Mr. Songy answered questions from Councilman Oubre.

There being no further business to be conducted, the hearing was adjourned at 6:10 p.m.
