Bayou Plaquemine and Bayou Grosse Tete

Besides providing for residential garbage and trash collection and working daily with inmate labor to keep the parish clean, the Solid Waste Department and Parish have also worked to clean up Bayou Plaquemine and Bayou Grosse Tete via a contractor. These are photos from that clean up effort.

Parishwide Clean-Up Day

The Solid Waste Department has worked with the Parish’s Image Committee to coordinate a Parishwide Clean-Up Day. More than 500 local residents participated in the clean-up event held in April, 2006. The Department worked to include businesses, community, school and church organizations, government agencies and others in the event in order to spread the message that Iberville will not tolerate litter.
