WATER:

Water Districts operated by the parish include:

• District #3 - water for rural areas of Plaquemine, White Castle, Bayou Sorrel and Bayou Pigeon.
• Water District #4 - water for rural areas of Grosse Tete, Rosedale and Maringouin
• Hwy. 1148 Water District - Water for Choctaw Trailer Park, Timberlanes, Hwy. 1148, Sallie Drive and Charles Ory Drive.

Getting water service

If the water line has already been extended to the business or residence in which service is sought, a deposit is required to start service. Deposits are paid at the Iberville Utility Department office. A picture ID is required, along with the physical address, to make a deposit. Deposits are $50 for residences and commercial businesses in Water District #3 and the Hwy. 1148 Water District. Deposits are $50 for residences and $75 for commercial businesses in Water District #4.

If a water line must be extended, the cost is $300 for residences and commercial businesses. This fee is the same in all water districts.

Paying for water service

Water bills for all water districts can be paid at the Iberville Utility Department office on Bayou Road in Plaquemine. Water District #3 bills can also be paid at the Bank of Commerce in White Castle. Credit card payments for utilities are accepted by calling 1-800-272-9829. You must have the jurisdiction code for the utility you wish to pay, the account number and the amount of payment to pay by phone. The jurisdiction code for Water District #3 is 2811, the code for Water District #4 is 2810, and the code for the Hwy. 1148 Water District is 2809.

Payments are also accepted via the internet by going to the website: www.officialpayments.com. In order to pay via the internet, you must have the account number and the amount of payment.
