If the natural gas line has already been installed to the business or residence in which service is requested, a deposit is required to start service. Deposits are paid at the Iberville Utility Department office. A picture ID is required, along with the physical address, to make a deposit. Deposits are $75 for residences and $500 for commercial businesses.

If a natural gas line must be installed, the cost is $500 for a regular household, and $750 for an upgraded service line generator. This fee covers up to 60 feet of line. Additional footage required to establish service beyond 60 feet is billed at a rate of $1 per foot, and is billed after service is installed. The physical address of the property and a copy of the building permit is required to have service line installed.

As a part of our Public Awareness Program, the Iberville Parish Utility Department provides information to everyone living near our pipelines advising what to do in the event of an emergency near our facilities. Natural gas bills can be paid at the following locations: the Iberville Parish Utility Department office 59705 Bayou Road in Plaquemine, Grosse Tete Town Hall, and the East Iberville Governmental Complex located at 3385 Hwy 30.

 Note that a reconnection fee will be charged if your gas has been shut off due to non-payment. For business hour reconnections, a $50 fee must be paid, and for after-hours reconnections, a $75 fee must be paid.

If the sewer line has already been extended to the business or residence in which service is sought, a building permit and fee is required.  This fee must be paid to the Iberville Permits and Inspections Office, located in the Parish Council offices on the second floor of the Iberville Courthouse on Meriam Street in Plaquemine.

If a sewer tie-in is required, the cost is $150 for residences and commercial businesses.  This fee must be paid to the Iberville Parish Utility Department office, located at 59705 Bayou Road in Plaquemine.

Sewer service is included with the monthly water bill.

Sewer service is provided for Bayou Goula, Dorseyville, Choctaw, Timberlanes and Patureau Lane.  The parish also maintains the sewer system in portions of Plaquemine, including Dupont Annex, Seymourville and St. Louis Subdivision.
